Winter Premieres at SkiStar in Sweden and Norway – Ready with Good Snow Conditions and Sustainability

Thanks to recent cold weather, which has provided good conditions for snow-making, all of SkiStar's destinations can now welcome all ski enthusiasts to the opening of the season. Vemdalen opened on 26 November, Sälen and Trysil will open on 2 December and Åre and Hemsedal will be ready to open on 8 December. Winter has come to stay, and with it comes with skiing.

Ski Scandinavia doubles the capacity of its winter charters to Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sälen/Trysil

British charter operator Ski Scandinavia is doubling the capacity of its winter charters to Scandinavian Mountains Airport from 11 February 2023. It is operating direct flights from Gatwick to Sälen/Trysil ("the heart of skiing”) on Saturdays. The venture builds on the positive experience gained last year, when the partnership was launched with a few trial flights.

Dank des kalten Wetters der letzten Zeit, das optimale Bedingungen für die Schneeproduktion geschaffen hat, können alle SkiStars-Destinationen alle Skibegeisterten zum Saisonauftakt begrüßen. In Vemdalen wurde bereits am 26. November eröffnet. In Sälen und Trysil ist es am 2. Dezember und in Åre und Hemsedal am 8. Dezember soweit. Der Winter ist gekommen, um zu bleiben – und um Ski zu fahren.

New lifts, a sustainable mountain experience and unbeatable skiing: SkiStar news for the 2022/23 winter season

The winter season will soon be here again and there are lots of new developments at all of SkiStar’s destinations for young and old alike. Besides improving snow production, we’re also continuing to work on everything from hire and sale of used ski clothing and skis to providing more activities like snow parks and ski cross courses and increasing digitisation for a more carefree experience.

New this winter at SkiStar: New express lifts, improved snow production and even more dining

Preparations for the 2023/24 winter season are well underway at SkiStar’s destinations in Sweden and Norway. Several important steps have been taken to modernise and improve the ski experience for all ski enthusiasts, including new 6-seater lifts in Sälen and Hemsedal. All destinations will also receive improved snow production to ensure a long and snow-proof winter season.
