SkiStar saw a significant increase in British skiers across SkiStar’s resorts last winter, and the guests enjoyed reliable skiing conditions throughout the season. With the British skiers in mind, SkiStar introduce several exciting updates this coming season.

The cold weather over the past month has created optimal conditions for snow production and snowfall has made the Scandinavian terrain magical. SkiStar's ski resorts Vemdalen and Sälen opened for the season in early November. Next up to open are Åre, Trysil and Hemsedal. SkiStar, the market leader in Scandinavia alpine tourism, expect a long Scandinavian ski season that extends to 1 May.

The cold spell in December meant SkiStar was able to produce plenty of excellent snow, promising a long and snow-filled winter season. British charter operator Ski Scandinavia is doubling the capacity of its winter charters to Scandinavian Mountains Airport from 11 February 2023. It is operating direct flights from Gatwick to Sälen/Trysil ("the heart of skiing”) on Saturdays. The venture builds on the positive experience gained last year, when the partnership was launched with a few trial flights.
