SkiStar Åre: Jibbing, skiing, sunning and biking during the best weekend of the year in Åre

The winter season concludes with Freeride, Skutskjutet, Hot Dog and huge après-ski at the square. Meanwhile the summer season runs a sneak opening with free bicycling in the toboggan track.

-  The snow situation up on Mount Åreskutan is very good and even in the lower zone we can keep most of central Åre open. It looks like we’ll have a really good final weekend to this season, says Anders Aspholm.

This weekend will see the classic events like Freeride for which main parts of Mount Åreskutan has been transformed into a park with jumps, rollers and rails; Skutskjutet the world’s largest downhill race for all the members of the family and also Hot Dog Challenge, the nostalgic show race inviting anyone to show off the smartest mogul style and coolest 70s and 80s outfits. But already today the biking season takes an early start in the toboggan track Kälkspåret with free rides on the funicular Bergbanan.
